Seven years of adventure – the Sagberg story
A look back at seven years of Labradors vom Sagberg: from the first dogs to the third litter.
From our archive: this story reflects the time it was written. Our dog and breeding pages contain current information.
Seven years of adventure.
It did not start with a breeding plan. It started with a dog. Simeon came to hunting through Velvet, not the other way round. One bitch became a team, the team became a season, the season became a title — and eventually the question of what from this dog deserved to be passed on.
Behind it today: a family with three daughters, a house in Purkersdorf where the dogs lie on the sofa, a growing breeding programme, and offspring who work just as well in the field as in the living room.
That is the whole idea: rarely a litter, raised within the family, handled to field trial level.
